This is the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, in the little lobster fishing town of New Harbor, Maine.Standing on a huge granite ledge above the edge of the ocean, the lighthouse is a working light with a more-than-hundred-year-old Fresnell lens that can be seen for miles. Inside the adjoining building is a lobster fishermen's museum, a wonderful place to learn about the life of a working professional lobsterman.

Reminds me of my time on Pemaquid point...We camped nearby with the kids and everyone wanted lobstas. We bought 3 for the five of us, for 20 bucks for all 3. When we got them back to camp, it was hard to even get one in our large pot. It took us forever to make the lobster, the corn and other stuff but it was a meal to remember...
Hard to believe, but at the moment one can buy local lobster for $4.75/lb, so you can pick up 4 lobsters for $20! Prices are really down, and lobstermen are really suffering, especially when diesel is running nearly $5/gal.
